Western New York HealtheNet
Western New York HealtheNet is one of the largest RHIO success stories. Founded in 2000 by the 3 payers and 4 provider systems in the Buffalo metro area, WNYHealtheNet now services more than 15,000 users and delivers more than 4 million transactions per month. The provider organizations are increasing their revenue by $120,000 to $200,000 per month by having patient information up front, while the payers are saving millions of dollars in transaction costs. Based on its successes, WNYHealtheNet is now expanding to add on-line prescriptions.
APP Design has been helping with the planning and organization of WNYHealtheNet since its inception. RHIOnet is the technology platform for WNYHealtheNet. APP has continued to work with WNYHealtheNet to plan and improve their offerings, add functionality and interface to new organizations for over 6 years.
New Mexico HealthXnet
HealthXnet is a part of Hospital Services Corporation, a company owned by the region’s providers that supplies common services to all its members. HealthXnet services over 5000 providers with 500,000 transactions per month from over a dozen separate interfaces. APP Design has been working with HealthXnet since 2005, to improve their process, expand their presence in the region, and deliver high quality services for their customers. We added RHIOnet services to their existing system to connect to Availity, Medicare, and several other entities. We also helped them navigate issues such as HIPAA Privacy, National Provider Identifier, and building a statewide RHIO.
