Real time routing
RHIOnet provides real-time routing of any transaction. Its J2EE based architecture delivers high performance, minimal latency, and allows redundant services for reliability and scalability. RHIOnet’s Intermediary Database can receive batch data from information sources and deliver on-line responses to user queries.
Single sign-on
RHIOnet has the ability to provide “single sign-on” functionality through its password substitution functionality. RHIOnet can look up the proper login ID and password for the given host at the time of the transaction, alleviating the need for the user to remember multiple logins/passwords for multiple host systems.
Clinical transactions
RHIOnet can receive data from multiple hospital information systems and securely distribute it to providers via the Clinical Inbox. It can also request and receive lab results, radiology transcriptions, and other clinical transactions.
Off-line transactions
Since not all information sources are not available in real-time, RHIOnet can query a “stand-in” database which is periodically refreshed by payer or provider data files. The RHIOnet Intermediary Database can replace current multiple database architectures with one, more easily maintained, model. RHIOnet can easily incorporate multiple off-line data stores, each residing at the data provider’s site, if desired.
Referral
RHIOnet provides for both X12 278 referrals to compliant outside entities, and internal database based referrals. These services allow organizations to eliminate paper and decrease the amount of time spent tracking referrals. This service includes local physician directory loading and selection, along with reporting.
Private labeling/customizations
Private labeling, customization of web pages and custom transactions are available. Costs would depend on the exact requirements.
Enhanced Eligibility & Benefits
RHIOnet can deliver a much deeper level of detail than simple yes/no eligibility, allowing for the collection of co-pays and deductibles at the point of care. This feature alone has one RHIOnet customer realizing an additional $120,000/month ($1.44MM/year) in previously uncollected revenue.
