How it works:
RHIOnet’s community-wide provider portal, or simply, the community portal, allows users to access numerous sites and transactions. As a one-stop shop, authorized users are able to access RHIOnet’s services including, for example eligibility and plan benefits, claims inquiry or provider demographic updates.
In addition to connecting to all of RHIOnet’s transactions or as a separate feature, the community portal uses single sign-on using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), to allow users to connect seamlessly between clinical systems, Health Information Exchanges, payers and 3rd party services such as faxing or transcription reports for a streamlined approach to electronic data interchange.
Benefits:
The community portal increases community adoption and user enrollment because of its ease of use, single-sign-on capabilities and centralized registration. It also provides Two Factor Authentication (TFA) with ‘Trusted Sites’. With one secure location and one password to locate multiple services and sites, users no longer have to spend valuable time searching for a Website or password, shrinking costs by reducing the volume of help desk calls for lost passwords and increasing user satisfaction.
