APP Design has been chosen to build a Knowledge Management system for the world’s largest law firm, Baker & McKenzie. The Merger and Acquisition Knowledge System (MAKS) will help Baker organize even the most complex multi-jurisdiction project using built-in calendars, contact lists, and project management capabilities – efficiently linking the user to relevant documents, corporate information, and communications.

By incorporating security into each and every item, deal makers can selectively allow access to individual documents, issues or plans. For example, an individual deal may need contracts developed in France, Spain, and Belgium. The deal maker can allow the French attorneys to see only the documents related to the French part of the deal, and the Spanish attorneys only to see the Spanish documents, while maintaining overall access for themselves and the client.

High level “dashboards” will allow overviews of all deals to view work in progress, completed items, and Gantt charts displaying critical paths.
