March 15, 2000 - APP Design announced today the award of a contract from CareInsite (now WebMD) build an on-line HIPAA compliant eligibility and claims status processing system. This system will allow CareInsite’s system direct access to Health Insurance Plan of NY data in real time.
“HIPAA is the next Y2K.” said Robert Quinn, APP Design Vice President. “Health plans must use HIPAA compliant transactions by two years after the rules finalization.”
